Cressey Developments called upon Ledingham Design Consultants when it was putting together the design team for this award-winning 419-suite strata-titled hotel. The hotel has two lobbies, a variety of shops and restaurants on the main floor and over 18,000 square feet of meeting and banquet spaces. It offers junior, one and two bedroom as well as Mountain suites. This variety of accommodation welcomes all guests and includes 13 suites for special needs. Suites boast vaulted ceilings, soaker tubs, quality appliances, gas fireplaces and patented Westin heavenly beds.
Ledingham designed the interiors of the lobbies, the award-winning Aubergine Grille, the FireRock Lounge and all 419 guest suites. The project spanned three years and involved custom furniture design and selection of all finishes and accessories. The Westin Hotel Whistler was rated #1 ski resort hotel for 2000 and 2001 by Condé Naste's ski reader poll.
