A couple from Toronto requested help to redesign and furnish their new Coal Harbour townhome. The inspiration for the design came from a Jack Bush painting in the client's significant Canadian art collection. The 7' painting is a bold statement of modern art and the interior was reconfigured and refinished to give it a fitting home.
The interior consists of a palette of warm neutrals and interesting textures chosen to create a backdrop for the art collection throughout the apartment. Platinum metallic washed oak flooring on the main floor compliments the dark rift oak kitchen millwork and limestone clad foyer. Lacquered paneling and millwork was created to disguise the AV equipment and provide an architectural interest on both floors.
The custom designed furniture and area carpets were placed with mid century classics to complement the architectural detailing.
