A young couple with three children approached Ledingham Design Consultants to design their west coast home. Ledingham’s team faced the challenge of creating a sophisticated home in which the young couple could entertain family and friends comfortably yet still address the demands of a growing family.
The design team selected materials and fabrics that would endure the daily stresses of children but also inspire guests with their quiet yet rich elegance. Maintenance and durability were considered with every material selected – from mahogany wood work through-out, porcelain floor tiles to cotton chenilles and leathers for furniture upholstery.
The kitchen/ nook area engages the great room on the main floor to create the main hub for family and friends to gather. The right balance of form and function has resulted in an exceptionally livable space for this growing family.
